New Technology Innovations Day
Return to Examples of technology-enhanced learning at AU
On 15 April 2010, Information Services presented an all-day showcase of new technology and innovations. Presentations were given in the Visualisation Centre Board Room, with interactive exhibits in the reception area. Lunch was provided. There was a good turnout with about 30 people attending.
For those who were unable to attend, we have provided the programme below, with some materials from the presentations and video clips from presentors:
Communications innovations morning
- Introduction to the event and playing a video showing the benefits of Unified Messaging.
- Unified Messaging Service – Allowing unified access to your email, voicemail, calendaring & contacts lists using a computer, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), or a fixed line or mobile telephone. See the PPT presentation.
- Getting the best out of your VOIP phone – the whole University telephone system is gradually being replaced by a Voice over Internet Protocol system learn about its features. See the PPT presentation.
