Gwella Launch 21 October 2009
Back to About Gwella at AU.
On 21 October 2009, a one-day symposium was held to showcase AU's Gwella projects as well as launch the Nexus website and new funding for staff for e-learning development and travel related to e-learning. We used CourseCast to make lecture capture recordings of presentations, and Flip cameras to record video interviews with participants. Several presenters have also contributed case studies for the Nexus website.
We also set up a Blackboard course with samples of various technologies in use, including:
- SafeAssign plagiarism detection tool for Blackboard - also see the Good Practice Guide for SafeAssign
- Campus Pack Web 2.0 tools for Blackboard - also see the Good Practice Guides for Campus Pack Wiki, podcasting, journal and blog tools
- Wimba Create tool for making online learning objects - also see the Good Practice Guide for Wimba Create
All registrants were automatically enrolled in the Blackboard course. The E-learning Team is happy to enrol any other staff members who wish to have access. If you would like us to enrol you, please send an email to: is-alto@aber.ac.uk.
