Back to Turnitin Good Practice Guide

Did you know that you can now access your assignment feedback online? Whether you submitted an essay through Turnitin or Blackboard, you will be able to see your Grade, Grader Feedback and any attached feedback files by logging into Blackboard. 

Accessing your feedback will depend on how you submitted your assignment and how your tutor marked it. You may need to go through either My Grades or through the original submission link in Blackboard.

If you are accessing your assignment:

Through original submission link 
  • In the Blackboard module, go to where you originally submitted the assignment and click View/Complete
  • Click View. This will open your assignment in the Turnitin Document Viewer. Your mark (grade) and general feedback comments appear on the right. 
  • Hover over the blue boxes to see your tutor’s specific comments. 
  • If your tutor has given audio feedback, click on the Play icon above the tutor’s comments. 
  • If your tutor has used the Marking Form/Rubric tool, click on the icon with small boxes in the lower right-hand corner. Hover over each number to see the grade boundary it represents. 

 

  • In the Blackboard module, go to where you originally submitted the assignment. 
  • Click on the title of the assignment. 
  • Here you will see your mark (grade), feedback and any attached feedback files. 

 

Through My Grades
  • If your tutor has given you feedback in the form of an attached file, you must go through My Grades to download the file. 
  • In the Blackboard module, click on Tools, then My Grades, and then the assignment title. 
  • Here you will see your mark (grade) in the top right corner.  
  • To download the attached feedback, click on the file name in the bottom left hand corner. 
  • You can also view feedback through the Turnitin Document Viewer. Click on the title of your assignment, then the My Paper icon. See above for instructions within the document viewer. 
  • In the Blackboard module, go to Tools then My Grades
  • Click on the title of the assignment. 
  • Here you will see your mark (grade), feedback and any attached feedback files.
