iPad provisioning for flexible teaching and outreach

Dr Rachel Cross, ABERYSTWYTH UNIVERSITY

Abstract: The use of tablets for teaching and outreach activities can be restricted due to the need to provide a one-size fits all software build. A trail is currently underway involving a small number of iPads which are remotely provisioned to enable a more personal feel for the users. This has the benefit of improved security, especially when conducting outreach activities with minors as the devices can be locked down to a limited number of applications.

“Using rubrics and online marking to make life easier and give students (hopefully) helpful feedback"

Dr Ross Roberts, BANGOR UNIVERSITY
