The new E-Services and Communications Group are pleased to announce the arrival of Qwizdom ActionPoint version 2.4.
It is included on the CD with each Qwizdom kit and is also available seperately from Media & Sales in the Hugh Owen library. If you are using Qwizdom for teaching, we recommend that you install this newer version of ActionPoint on your computer - it is already installed on all teaching computers in centrally-timetabled rooms.
The biggest change with the new version is compatibility with the Microsoft Office 2010, which more and more people are using now. There are also several new features that help to get feedback from students and check their understanding of topics covered.
Information Services have now also purchased a Mini Kit. This new kit consists of the new, smaller style USB hub and two handsets. This makes it ideal for developing presentations in your office and trying new ideas, without having to carry the full kit around with you!
A Mini Kit for teaching staff to use when preparing presentations is available from Media & Sales (formerly Data Prep) on Level D of the Hugh Owen library.
If you're new to Qwizdom and haven't used it before, we would recommend having a look at the Nexus entry:

and feel free to borrow the Mini Kit from the loan stock to have a go!
If you wish to have a demonstration or would like any help or advice with Qwizdom, please email us and we will be happy to help! mailto:is-alto@aber.ac.uk
