ecp.pngThe Blackboard Exemplary Course Programme (ECP) rubric, created by the Blackboard Company, is associated with the Blackboard Catalyst Awards in which courses are evaluated for excellence in enhancing student learning. The rubric embodies sound educational design, reinforcing concepts that are promoted through the Higher Education Academy and the AU PGCTHE programme. Many of the specific practices address issues raised by students through various surveys, such as the desire for a consistent learning experience across modules, logical organisation of learning materials, full access to learning materials through AberLearn Blackboard, clear and complete assessment information, and timely feedback. Some elements of the rubric were adapted for use in the AberLearn Blackboard Required Minimum Presence as revised in summer 2013.

Bespoke training sessions in using the Blackboard Exemplary Course Programme rubric to reorganise your module in AberLearn are available for any staff, departments, or institutes upon request. For more details, please see the Blackboard Good Practice Guide.
